a good way to tune the toms is tune the heads maybe a turn above finger-tight. both sides. but if you don’t want a lot of resonance you can tune the bottom head a 1/2 turn maybe full turn above the top. hope that helps.

is the snare on or off when the springs are touching the head?
June 13th, 2009 at 2:42 pm
“start screwing the nuts in” hahaha. Nice job man, every video
June 14th, 2009 at 3:07 pm
try tightening the chain a little bit
usually if you get a rattling sound, it means that the chain is too loose
June 14th, 2009 at 7:17 pm
Hey mr sexy-spiky-drummer
Dude, what’s the best way to get a solid quick, almost triggered-like sound that will also make gravity blasts come through really well? I’m pretty much just tightening my snare drum extremely high and it loses tone which i want in slower snare work… anyway to get around that> I blast and gravity 70% of the time so this is indeed important
June 15th, 2009 at 11:53 am
hey i did what you said…i tuned it really tight and the sounds great…thanks.. but whenever i hit it i hear a kinda long rattling sound under it, is it normal??
June 16th, 2009 at 2:03 pm
